Are you an unintended leader?

You know – someone who has stepped into a leadership role because:

🪜It’s the next things in the career path

👑You are the best person for the job

👍You reckon you can do an awesome job

❓You’re not sure why, but someone had to do it, so why not you

🧑‍🎓You’re an expert in your technical field

Whatever the reason why you are in a people leadership role, the likelihood is that you took on the role with the best of intentions, not knowing what was going to consume your days.

The reality of leading others can become daunting quickly.

You often model what you saw in previous leaders – regardless of whether this was good or not, or whether it really reflects you as an individual.

And then the constant juggling of expected delivery from above and outwardly from stakeholders, alongside an increasing expectation from your people to be there for them and support their growth and development.

Your own leadership growth and development is often done through the doing.

And while this is great when you are applying approaches, without support or development for yourself in the competency of leadership, it will continue to be a struggle.

Because leadership is a competency, not just a role.

Therefore, it is a skill that should be developed, grown, explored to help you be the best leader you can be.

And leading people is not a role that is for everyone – let’s be honest.

But if you are in a position where you want to be better at ‘leading through others’, to ultimately improve how you deliver services or programmes, then let me help you.

I’ve led teams and groups for most of my career and have now moved to supporting other leaders to be great at ‘leading through others’.

So, message me so we can chat about how I can help you and your team thrive.
